BCG Matrix- For all boys!
Background Information (Something serious but, must read and NOT FOR MBAs)
BCG: A simple tool for assessing a company's position relative to others. It is a 2X2 matrix plotting market share against market growth. BCG matrix categorises Strategic Business Units (SBUs) of a company in to cash cows, stars, problem children and dogs according to their market share and market growth. Now read on.. .So, with due respect to Boston Consultancy Group Matrix, MM, an aspiring entrepreneur came up with his own 'matrix' called MCG matrix (MM's Censorious Girl's Matrix) and it is as follows;
In this model we have four kinds of girls;
1) Cash Cows
2) Stars
3) Problem Babes
4)Dogs (B*****S)
Cash Cows: Consider them for marriage only, if you are so keen you can date them for 2-3 months but because of the higher market share there is a probability that some other entrepreneur will take over it. Cash Cows are, as the name indicates, usually rich, need not be beautiful. After the take over (marriage) we can use the assets of cash cows to attract..err invest in other beautiful girls.
Stars: They are the best of the lot ;) Stars spend for their boy friends and usually don't ask anything in return as they are from affluent parent companies . But, even if stars don't ask for gifts or treats, keep them happy by investing money from cash cows (after all they're cows). There is a probability/danger (according to your requirement) that stars could turn in to cash cows and to play the role of your best half, sooner or later.
Problem Babes: As the name clearly indicates, the cost of gifts and all would be comparatively higher for this kind. Usually Problem babes look attractive but there is a problem of take over and thereby loss. Suitable for short term relationships. Try investing some money from cash cows in problem babes to transform them to stars, if it is not happening, DIVEST!!
Dogs (B*****s): Don't even consider this option, more maintenance cost and no output. if you have one divest it as early as possible. Try to get the gifts back and invest in stars and problem babes!
