Surprised me!


28th January 2009, the day I celebrated the silver jubilee of my life, I saw this film ‘Wall street’, rather I had to see it, as it was included in the daily schedule. In the film, the main character approaches the multimillionaire business man Gekko on his birthday with a new business idea. After hearing the youngster’s new business idea, the lukewarm response of Gekko was like this; ‘It’s my birthday, surprise me’. The character resembles me in one sense or other, which I would like to publish later as a separate post.


This blog post is dedicated to all who made my birthday a big SURPRISE! The party started at 12 in the midnight with cake cutting followed by birthday bumps, water splashes and moreover, a lot of delight. I’ve undergone severe torture like dozens of kick and a consecutive and merciless compulsory bath in the midnight. Still I enjoyed those moments like never before and yes this was the first birthday were a lot my friends came together to wish and kick me! I would like thank to everyone especially Kedar, DB, Rejil, Surbhi, Preetjot, Rochelle, Aanchal, Sneha, Prateek, Sajna, Charul, Swapnil, Asopa, Sweta, Keerat, Greeshma, Tanya, Nazneen, Sushant, Arnab, Darpan, Nitin(s) etc etc. The day was something very special and yes people, you guys & girls surprised me!

I won’t ever forget the birthday bumps gifted by Kedar and DB on the way back after my treat. I will always the keep the shirt you people gifted me, if possible forever. A special thanks for Padma and Kedar for you know what :) Life is so beautiful with friends like you all. I hereby express gratitude from the bottom of my heart for making me happy and also for the unforgettable day, in all sense.

Fragile egos, failing society

We have failed as a society. Damn it, we have failed as living creatures. Malayalis can bury their head in the sand and flash their golden HDI card, while accepting that we are a morally corrupt society. This might come as a surprise, but Madhu would have been beaten to death regardless of his tribal tag. A majority of Keralites find it amusing to pamper their fragile egos by putting their nose in to others business. Ocassionally, this ends up in mob/group violence.
