And now the 28th 28..

Yes, I completed 28 years on this good old planet on January 28, 2012. Its been a good learning experience over the last 10200+ days, through ups and downs.

There is something funny about January, I have three birthdays on this month. One is according to the regional (Malayalam) calendar, one is according to my official birth date, 26th Jan, because my dad was so particular about his 'republic day baby' :) and finally the original one. When I was home, I used to celebrate the regional calendar birthday, when I was away it was the date and the during the official birthday, I  usually get a birthday mail from the HR department. However, this time I celebrated two birthdays, one in Bangalore with my wife and second one in Kerala with the entire family.

'Chasing the dreams'
So what's the big deal about 28? I see this as a benchmark age for me, though I had told that I have no plans to grow up, but it's a fact  that I'm growing old. I have to move closer to my dreams by leveraging the aforesaid learning over the last 28 years. I need to do something for my loved ones everyday, I need to take care of my body and mind, I need to be thankful for the blessings I have and above all I need to be the ultimate 'me' that I want to be. For me, life is all about living it once in the best possible way, I think it's time to chase my dreams :)

My thanks to the friends who still tolerate me, my mom and dad who always support me, my brother who is still my little boy and my soul mate who always makes sure that I am happy and make me feel blessed. And God, you are just awesome!

The prelude is almost over, now it's show time.

Normally Wednesdays are like the half finished medicine bottles when you are ill; you know that you are getting well by the end of it but you still have to go through the torture and finish half of it. Fragile egos, failing society

We have failed as a society. Damn it, we have failed as living creatures. Malayalis can bury their head in the sand and flash their golden HDI card, while accepting that we are a morally corrupt society. This might come as a surprise, but Madhu would have been beaten to death regardless of his tribal tag. A majority of Keralites find it amusing to pamper their fragile egos by putting their nose in to others business. Ocassionally, this ends up in mob/group violence. Trust me when I say this, we are a coward lot if not in a group. We are apathethic towards stronger enemies. However, when we have our chance, we pound upon the weaker prey, and even kill him. You would not belive when I say that it is difficult to go out with my wife in certain parts of my town (Kottayam) after 7 PM.
