A late goodbye to 2012
We are almost done with a quarter of 2013, hard to believe, but as 'cliché' says, time flies. However, talking like a true Indian, I feel that 'I have not done the needful' yet. Yes, I am bidding adieu to 2012 in March 2013, better late than never.
I should be grateful to 2012 for what it was to me. 2012 was generous, peaceful and moreover gentle when it came to 'surprises'. It was slow, kept a low profile and so, was beautiful and tranquil. 2012 was not a 'problem-free' year, but it threw comparatively lesser lemons at me to make pickle.

So let me rewind and go through the major happenings of last year:
Job: After a two-year long tenure with my last employer, I had to move on. The job was good in the beginning and I had the privilege to be a part of one the best teams I ever worked with. As with any other story, the good times did not last forever and I had to quit when the going became an improbability. My job profile was changed drastically and I had no option but to move on.
About the new job, I recall the Miranda warning. But I must admit, on a comparative scale, I'm happier.
Car: Here's the big one! A dream for years has come true in 2012. Being a petrolhead since time immemorial, a car of my (our) own was one of my biggest dreams. After booking the car, I was so excited for the next few days that I could not sleep properly. The sizzling red Beat came home on 10th June 2012, a prelude to a lot more to come.
First anniversary: Well, well, well! One fantastic year it was. When I say 'fantastic' don't think about rainbow puking unicorns. Yes, we had our moments of arguments and silences served in right proportions with overwhelming love. But over the year, we realized that how important we are to each other. Be it tsunami, platonic shift or zombie apocalypse, we realized that there is only one way out and that, my friend, is 'together'.
Cloud Orange: Cloud Orange was Cloud nine for me, as I wrote in one of my earlier posts. My brother Nitin Murali was brave enough to chase his dream. Though they are just taking the baby steps now, I'm sure they going to make it big. Here's to the courage!
Ring ring: As my Nokia C6 prematurely died, I had to end my seven year long relationship with Nokia (with three different phones) and moved on to Sony and it works like a charm so far.
Movies: I lost the count of movies that I watched over the last one year, and I am thankful to my wife for introducing me to some of the classics.
For all those who loved, hated and cared for me, here, take my thanks in tons :D Another year to survive, another year with infinite possibilities (ok, just 9 more months now!).
Let me try and make the best out of it!
